Team Pathways

The function of a youth soccer club is to develop players in a team environment under the supervision of a coach. Teams develop at practice with structured training sessions, and during games against the competition (in league, tournaments and scrimmages). When teams win, it’s a byproduct of hard work, collective team play, and the individual application of technique under pressure. When teams lose it’s a chance for reflection, learning, growth, and perseverance.

A Fall and Spring league usually consists of 8 to 10 total games each, with STFC Home Games played here in South Lake Tahoe.

GBYSL stands for the Great Basin Youth Soccer League, based in the greater Reno area.  South Tahoe Futbol Club is a proud member of GBYSL and send many of our youngest teams to compete in this Nevada league. Scholarships are available. Games are played during the week and on the weekends. GBYSL provides access to the Nevada State Cup.
