At South Tahoe Futbol Club, our dedicated trainers are committed to developing young athletes both on and off the field. With a wealth of experience and a passion for soccer, they provide personalized coaching that fosters skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Coach Emerson

Originally from Las Vegas, Emerson has been playing soccer since the age of 6 and brings a deep passion for the game to both playing and coaching. After recently relocating to Lake Tahoe to pursue collegiate soccer and academic goals, he continues to stay dedicated to developing as both a player and a mentor.

Over the past year in Las Vegas, Emerson began coaching young athletes through private training sessions, gaining hands-on experience and discovering a strong passion for teaching the game. Their approach focuses on sharing knowledge, building confidence, and helping young players grow their skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Coach Cynthia

Cynthia played Division I soccer at San José State University as a center midfielder and forward, helping the team win a Mountain West Championship. After her playing career, she began coaching at MVLA, where she emphasizes a possession-based, technical style of play.

Cynthia is committed to developing the whole player—focusing on both skill growth on the field and personal development off it.

Coach Robert

Robert Palmer is an experienced and passionate soccer coach with over 10 years of coaching experience and a USSF C License. He specializes in player development, technical training, and fostering a positive, growth-focused environment for young athletes.

Robert most recently served as Assistant Coach at his alma mater, Park University (2023–2024), and spent three years as a Technical Coach with Kansas City Athletics, working with top academy teams across ECNL, ECRL, and MADL levels.

As a player, Robert brings a high-level background that includes representing the Jamaica U-20 National Team (2008–2009) and a standout collegiate career at Park University, where he was named Freshman of the Year and earned All-Conference honors three times.

At the professional level, he excelled in the MASL (Major Arena Soccer League), earning All-MASL First Team recognition four times and being named Defender of the Year twice.

Robert is deeply committed to helping young players grow in both skill and confidence. His coaching emphasizes strong technical foundations, tactical understanding, and a love for the game.
